Sunday Alex got up early and went to Mass really early and then went to the cemetery. Later in the day I went by on my own and noticed that she had left her pink shoelaces there that she had worn all season in honor of her mom. A perfect mother's day present for sure.

On Tuesday, September 11, 2007 our lives were changed forever when my wife of 22 years, and mother of 3, lost her battle with breast cancer. I kept a detailed blog about her and our family for several years. I urge you to read about her at my other blog. Now that I am a single-parent with 3 children my blogging is more targeted towards our lives and the day-to-day challenges that we all must go through. For that reason, I've created this blog as a way for everyone to stay updated.

After 3 years of a fierce battle with breast cancer Christine lost her life to this dreaded disease at 6:30 AM on Tuesday, September 11, 2007.
